There are two kinds, and both will do well. University of Memphis Director of Landscape Joellen Dimond talks about the two kinds of serviceberry: Downy and Allegheny. Both kinds of tree grow to about 15-25 feet and have flowers in the spring and good fall color. The Downy serviceberry has more cultivars to choose from, but find the one you like from either cultivar.
