Q&A – My persimmons have lots of flowers and fruits, but they are falling off. What should I do?

Question:
My persimmons have lots of flowers and fruits, but they are falling off. What should I do?

Answer:

There are several reasons this may be happening. University of Memphis Director of Landscape Joellen Dimond says there may be too much fruit for the tree to support and it is dropping the excess. Based on the tree’s past it could also be a problem with the site where it is growing.
