Q&A – What is this plant? -China Doll
Question:
My sister received this plant when her husband passed recently. She loves plants however, this plant had no tag so we have no idea what it is or how to care for it. Can it be planted out of doors?
Answer:
This is a china doll plant (Radermachera sinica) It is a tropical house plant grown for its foliage. Its leaves are shiny. It should be put in good indirect light and watered when needed. Fertilize it from time to time with a balanced fertilizer formulated for leafy plants. Also, turn it about a quarter turn every time you water to keep the plant from strongly growing toward the light.
