Q&A – What month should I plant tulip bulbs?

Question:
What month should I plant tulip bulbs?

Answer:

This depends on where you live.  University of Memphis Director of Landscape Joellen Dimond gives the correct time for the various USDA hardiness zones in the United States. She also talks about why temperature is important for getting the tulips to sprout and bloom. Retired MSU Extension Horticulture Specialist Lelia Kelly talks about what to do to store bulbs until it is time to put them in the ground.
