Spice up a Drab Winter Landscape

Winter home landscapes are often bland and boring. Retired MSU Extension Horticulture Specialist Lelia Kelly talks about easy things you can do to spice up your home’s winter landscape that won’t break the bank. Start with cleanup. Get rid of the dead plants in your beds but leave the ornamental grasses. A thin layer of mulch will give a neat and professional look. Also adding pops of color, either through using plants or garden art will create points of interest. Also, it may be winter, and things are dead, but use some dead things to create a point of interest.
