Succulents
Chris discusses what makes a succulent plant with director of horticulture, Dale Skaggs. Being "fat and lazy" plants that hoard their water, succulents are often the target of herbivores or thirsty bugs. Certain plants like the cactus are succulents and circumvent predation with their protective spines. Others look like rocks or dead sticks to appear unattractive to predators. Since succulents save their moisture, over watering is an easy way to kill them. Make sure to keep the right environment for your succulent to enjoy these hardy and easy to care for plants.
