Q&A – Do I just trim off the dead upper limbs of my fig tree?

The frost got my fig tree, but new growth is coming out on the lower part of the limbs. Do I just trim off the dead upper limbs?
Answer:
Yes. The freeze killed the upper limbs. Once the tree has leaves in the spring and you can see what is dead and what is alive cut off the dead branches. Make your cut in the dead tissue close to the live tissue.
