Q&A – Why does my small ginkgo have brown spots on the leaves?

Question:
Why does my small ginkgo have brown spots on the leaves?

Answer:

The ginkgo could have leaf scorch from the sun or a bacterial leaf spot. UT Extension Agent Lee Sammons says the tree will drop its leaves in the fall and the problem will probably not happen again next year. Make sure you collect the leaves and throw them away.
