We watered right after we planted on Tuesday. We watered again today. This is a raised bed with loose soil so it drys out quickly. This is good for stopping root rots, but watering can be a challenge in the summer. We plan to install a drip irrigation system to help with that. We need to keep the seeds moist until they get established. We are only watering the squares with planted plants or seeds. This keeps the other squares dry so weeds don't germinate, or if they do hopefully the will dry out and die. There should be rain over the weekend to help keep it moist. |
